Move marks a broader approach to client requirements
Martin Ewart takes new role of Group CEO, while Paul Atkinson moves to a non-exec role
In a move which signals a new approach for its business, Taranata Group has today announced the acquisition of Hanya Partners, a consulting business that works with large firms to ensure they get the most from their suppliers
Martin Ewart, founder and leader of Hanya Partners will take on the role of chief executive of Taranata Group, this is a new role replacing the executive chairman, and the Group’s founder, Paul Atkinson, who will move to the role of non-executive group chair.
Hanya Partners, started by Martin Ewart in 2014, has offices in Edinburgh and London, and employs 3 people, supported by around 30 associates who provide specialist support depending on the needs of the individual clients. Hanya have worked with some of the biggest companies in the world, and their areas of expertise include sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, IT strategy, IT performance improvement and procurement.
Clients that work with Hanya Partners and its associates include major UK banks, public sector organisations and utilities companies.
Atkinson commented: “This is a defining moment for our business. Our current brands focus on recruitment at all levels, now having made a conscious decision to add Consulting and IT Services, we are beginning to realise our larger ambition – to broaden out from our recruitment and talent services and collaborate with our clients across more of their strategic goals.
“This chapter builds on our heritage of talent provision and collaboration with our clients. We can still find them the best people in the market to achieve their business goals, but now we can also assist them in driving performance and outcomes across their whole IT Service and supplier eco-system. Martin and Hanya have a unique track record in helping clients get more from IT Services and suppliers. It’s a natural evolution for us.
The Taranata Group comprises Head Resourcing, Head Medical, Change Recruitment, Rawmarsh and now Hanya Partners. The Group advises clients on everything from executive search and selection, to volume sourcing of call centre teams, specialist search in IT, digital, construction, medical and financial sectors, and now business transformation.
Martin Ewart commented: “I’m delighted to take on this new role. The quality of the team at Taranata is second to none and we have ambitions to match. Our clients have an ever-changing dynamic set of needs. They require partners who can be skilled and flexible enough to bring the right response to help them accelerate their growth.
“We will always continue our focus on talent provision and capability. In addition, now we can also provide strong Sourcing, Supplier Management and IT Services too. We have a heritage of building long term relationships through focusing on our client’s goals, rather than ours. This will remain at the heart of our beliefs. We want ten to twenty-year relationships not just a transaction. Our new services will allow us to offer our clients deeper collaboration around a broader set of ambitions.
“The recruitment and talent solutions sector is changing. We are leading the way forward by building on our traditional recruitment services with solutions that deliver clients great outcomes not simply great hires”
Martin is not new to Taranata Group. He has been chairman of Head Resourcing since 2014 and has led the business through significant growth, and most recently the formation of the Taranata Group. He will remain as chair of Head Resourcing while taking on his new group CEO role
