Database Engineer (Database Administrator)

£500-£589 per day (working via an Umbrella Company)
A large & well-known Financial Services / Banking Client is currently seeking a highly experienced Database Engineer to join their team.
With increasing project demand stretching their team, our Client is looking for candidates with the following knowledge & experience:
- A strong understanding and experience of Database Administration (across Oracle and SQL Server)
- Experience of undertaking database builds, patching, migrations and upgrades.
- Experience of High Availability and Disaster Recovery Methods including setup, troubleshooting and support - Oracle RAC, Oracle Restart, ASM, Oracle Data Guard & SQL Server Always on High Availability.
- Database Performance Tuning and Optimisation skills.
- Experience of using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Oracle / Red Hat Linux, Windows, AIX, and Solaris Operating System experience.
- Excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills
- Strong knowledge in the Banking / Financial Services Sector is highly preferred but not essential
