Inside IR35 working via an Umbrella Company

An Edinburgh Financial Services/FinTech organisation is currently looking for hands-on DevOps Engineers to join their team on a Contract basis, supporting a large/complex programme of work. The primary focus of the roles will involve managing & optimising their cloud infrastructure in AWS and to be successful, previous knowledge & experience should include:

  • Previous & proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer
  • Experience within other FinTech / small-to-medium Financial Services organisations
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms & technologies, specifically AWS (Ideally including AWS DevOps Engineer certification)
  • Containerisation and Orchestration with K8s, EKS and Docker
  • Kubernetes package management with Helm Charts
  • Service Mesh with Linkerd
  • Strong knowledge of Serverless Technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation
  • CI/CD with Azure DevOps
  • Scripting & Automation skills with Bash, Python, Go and PowerShell
  • Networking & Security with VPC, Nginx, HAProxy, AWS CloudFront, AWS ALB/NLB, AWS WAF & Shield and SIEM tools
  • As always, excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills with the ability to work as part of a project team and on own initiative
  • Finally, any additional knowledge of tools like Dynatrace & ForgeRock would be highly advantageous but not essential

Our client works a hybrid-model with increasing days being spent in their Edinburgh Office so the ideal candidate will be available immediately/at short notice, locally based and able to commit to 2-3 days per week onsite.
