  • Work on optimising and migrating existing systems to Azure, utilizing Azure PaaS and IaaS, with a future focus on GCP integration.
  • Apply deep Kubernetes expertise to troubleshoot and enhance services within the K8s ecosystem, including experience with Istio and service mesh technologies like Envoy.

Areas of Focus:

  • Kubernetes: Extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments, with a focus on Istio service mesh and Envoy.
  • Helm: Authoring and maintaining Helm charts, leveraging Helmfile to manage deployments.
  • SRE Mindset: Strong familiarity with SRE practices, including defining and managing Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Automation & DevOps Tooling: Expertise with CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps, Terraform, and ARM Templates, and solid experience in automating deployment processes.
  • Container Management: Proficient in Docker, with a focus on security scanning using tools like Aquasec.
  • Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge of Azure and experience with cloud-native services, with an eventual goal to extend expertise to GCP.
  • Resiliency & Disaster Recovery: Experience in Chaos Engineering, implementing resiliency strategies, and leading disaster recovery planning.
  • Networking & Security: Hands-on experience managing network layers (L3-L7), DNS, and public key infrastructure (PKI).

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • A seasoned professional with a strong background in SRE or DevOps, able to provide in-depth mentorship and technical leadership.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes, ideally within Azure AKS environments, with familiarity in Istio.
  • Proficiency in at least two programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, Go, or PowerShell.
  • Strong expertise in DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus, and Git.
  • Experience in technical architecture, microservices, and designing code-based CI/CD pipelines.
