An Edinburgh based Financial Services Client is currently seeking an experienced Release Manager to join a large complex programme of work. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless, high-quality & frequent releases and key responsibilities will include:
- Managing core Release Management practices
- Plan, document and oversee the delivery of releases - communicating accurate management information on progress and status of releases to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Ensure release management metrics are collated
- Supporting the Programme Manager with a series of ad-hoc programme tasks & deputising when required
To be successful in this Contract, the successful candidate should have the following knowledge & experience:
- Strong & demonstrable experience working as a Release Manager in other established Financial Services organisations
- Proven leadership in successful digital solution delivery - demonstrating resilience in a fast paced, dynamic environment and a proactive, motivated, and collaborative approach to problem-solving / process enhancements etc
- Proficiency in Agile, SDLC, and DevOps methodologies, with experience of CI/CD practices, particularly Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Additional Project Management skills & experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent Stakeholder Management abilities
- A track record of contributing to broader project / organisational improvements and adapting to evolving practices.
