Are you an experienced API Developer with a passion for innovation and excellence? Our Client in Edinburgh, an established Fintech organisation, is looking for a talented API Developer to join their team on an initial 3-month Contract basis. If you're available now/at short notice and familiar with innovative FinTech solutions, we're keen to hear from you!
Role Overview: As an API Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing/enhancing new services, ensuring high-quality, secure, and fit-for-purpose code that meets business and architectural requirements etc.
To be successful, skills & experience should include:
- Extensive Software Development & API Development experience, ideally with a focus on innovative FinTech Solutions
- Proficiency in AWS services (Amazon Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3) with the ability to create an API Gateway
- Additional knowledge/experience with mTLS authentication, OAuth, RESTful API development (OpenAPI, JSON Schema)
- Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js
- Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda)
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL on AWS Aurora) etc
Desirable skills & experience (that would be helpful but not essential)
- Any additional knowledge/experience in the likes of Amazon SES, AWS Step Functions, Ant Design, Yarn, Webpack, Puppeteer, TypeORM, FoalTS, GatherContent etc
- CI/CD configuration (Azure Pipelines)
- Experience in the Financial Services / FinTech industry
