A well-known Scottish Public Sector Client is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join their team on an initial 4-5 month Contract.
Based from their office in Glasgow, the successful candidate will be joining the Cyber Security Team, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding business critical services & supporting 3000+ users across Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in security operations, managing key incidents, resolving security threats, and working on escalated alerts from the SOC etc.
To be successful in this Contract our client is seeking Contractors with the following knowledge & experience:
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst with deep & demonstrable knowledge of SOC Alerts & Incident Response, Threat & Vulnerability Management & Security Operations etc
- Hands-on expertise with a range of Cyber Security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, CASB, DLP, and SIEM technologies.
- Using ServiceNow to manage tickets
- Knowledge of best practices for security controls & policies, with experience automating security measures across multiple environments.
- The ability to define and track KPIs to monitor security performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Excellent people, communication & Stakeholder Management skills will be essential as always
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements as well as cybersecurity frameworks like ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus would be a massive plus
- Previous experience in other areas of the Scottish Public Sector would also be a huge plus
