JavaScript Developer - Contract

3-6 months initially

Outside IR35, circa £350-£450 per day

FinTech / Financial Services - Digital Services

A strong & experienced JavaScript Developer is required to join our Edinburgh-based FinTech/Financial Services Client. Joining the clients Development Team, the successful candidate will be joining a project to enhance/develop one of their key Digital Services.

Initial contracts will be for 3-6 months and hybrid-working (spending1-2 days per week onsite in their Edinburgh office) and to be successful, we're looking for Contractors with the following knowledge & experience;

  1. Excellent JavaScript and/or TypeScript Development skills with demonstrable experience working with other FinTech/Financial Services organisations to develop Digital Solutions/Services
  2. Additional knowledge & experience of technologies such as Node.JS and AWS
  3. Strong Front-End development skills (preferably with React) & an understanding of Serverless computing too (preferably AWS Lambda)
  4. Restful API Development skills
  5. Excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills are always essential
  6. Any previous experience within the Pensions/Savings/Wealth/Investment sector would be highly advantageous but not essential
