SQL Developer

Up to £50,000

Edinburgh - Hybrid

Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with our Edinburgh based financial services client as they look to hire a talented SQL Developer. Our client provides a range of outsourced investment services to private banks, advisory businesses, and wealth managers and have offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. In this role you will work with colleagues from across the organisation to design and implement solutions to meet business and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & development of solutions that meet the needs of the business and are consistent with the overall Technology Strategy and agreed standards, methodologies & procedures within IT.
  • Works with the Development Team Leader to plan / schedule work, regularly reporting on progress and issues.
  • Is involved in testing strategies, including planning, design and management of simple & complex component and system testing scripts.
  • Considers the full data lifecycle when delivering projects. Works with the data team to ensure that data principles & data strategy are considered when analysing data.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in SQL Server
  • Strong experience in BI Development
  • Strong experience in SSRS and SSIS
  • Strong experience in SQL Scripting
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers.

Nice to have skills:

  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience in C#
