We are delighted to welcome Wayne van Tonder who has joined our contract recruitment team as a Resource Consultant. Wayne has experience of recruitment, specialising in placing IT individuals who’s skills lie in C#, Java, SQL, PHP, mobile development and more.
I caught up with him during his induction to find out a bit more about his love for recruitment and all things IT related.
Why did you decide to get into recruitment?
I was introduced to recruitment by a friend who was in the industry. I mentioned to him that I was looking for something different and he thought I would take to it. From the outset I enjoyed the candidate/client relations that were involved with the role. My aim since has been to develop those skills to deliver the best results for my candidates and clients.
What do you like about recruitment?
Being able to learn something new daily. Learning about the IT industry, an industry that is growing and growing and becoming an integral part of our daily lives. Being able to come to work and engage with new and interesting people is always a great thing.
What attracted you to Head Resourcing?
The reputation that Head Resourcing has in the market as well as the team that I would get to work with every day. Those are two important aspects for me in a workplace. Reputation and a great working environment.
