IT Support / EPOS Technician

Head Resourcing are delighted to be working with one of our Third Sector clients as they look to hire an IT Support / EPOS Technician. This is initially a 6-month fixed term position which will be worked on a hybrid basis (1 day per week onsite) at our clients Edinburgh location, providing first class customer service and IT support to our client's staff as well as working closely with the EPOS team to provide configuration, support, and maintenance to the till system. The successful candidate for this role will have a good technical background and previous experience in IT support and / or EPOS. In this role, you will have responsibility for investigating and resolving a wide range of technical issues both in person and remotely, so problem-solving skills are a must as well as a customer first approach.
Required skills:
* Knowledge of any EPOS systems, but ideally MIDAS (Swan Retail) OR LS Retail
* Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line support position is preferable
* Experience of troubleshooting Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Office 365 - Intune, Autopilot, etc
* An understanding of general network technology including WAN/LAN
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic organisation working within their IT Support team. This role will require office-based working in Edinburgh (1 day per week) but interviews will be held via Microsoft teams.
