Programme Manager (Risk & Controls)

Initial 12-month contract

This contract is for an initial 12 months based out of our clients London or Nottingham offices 2 days per week. Coming in as the Programme Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the changes needed to meet the overall requirements of the UK Corporate Code controls provisions. Candidates must have Programme Managment experience sucessfully delivering Risk focused projects within the financial sector.

This role involves operating in a cross functional capacity across the various Group teams (incl. Group Risk, Group Finance, EGSO) to drive effective collaboration across these wider Group functions to enable the Group to meet the new Corporate Code requirements, alongside leveraging this programme to strengthen the Group's Control environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Program Management
  • Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and active participation across the programme.
  • Establish program assurance as a formal discipline.
  • Regularly communicate program updates, process and achievements to stakeholders, executives and board through formal governance reporting.
  • Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to track and report on the progress and effectiveness of the programme. Provide timely reports and updates to senior management, executives and the board on the status of risk reduction, achievements and performance forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver concise and insightful weekly reports to group Risk senior management. Present findings and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
  • Provide confidence that programs will be delivered on time to meet the Code requirements.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to support the delivery of defined program outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's programmatic risk management practices.
